What it means?
Diabetes (medically referred to as Diabetes Mellitus) is a metabolic
disorder characterized by high blood sugar, either because enough insulin is
not produced, or because the body cannot use the insulin produced, or a
combination of both.
There are
mainly two types of diabetes. Common feature of both forms is development of long term complications
associated with morbidity and mortality.
The progression of these complications can be reduced by prompt and aggressive treatment.

Management
Diet -Low carbohydrate diet, low fat diet, low salt Junk food should be avoided , moderate your sugar intake, moderate consumption of rice and starch, eat balanced diet, eat Low fat dairy products. Leafy green vegetables , fiber contain food, high protein diet and fruit must be include in diet, avoid tobacco and alcohol .re
Exercise- Physical activity is very helpful in health promotion and disease prevention. It lower the blood glucose level by increasing carbohydrate metabolism, foster weight reduction, lower the blood pressure by reduce stress. decreases triglycerides level. some exercises are - walking, Yoga, swimming, cycling, aerobics.
